Prefabricated Commercial Building
Maldives boutique hotel and holiday home development project
A boutique hospitality cluster combining eight guest suites, a restaurant pavilion and staff facilities in a sensitive island setting.
Project overview
This boutique development required a construction method that could be delivered by boat, assembled with a small local workforce and leave a light environmental footprint.
Hospitality-led design
Each guest suite was designed as a self-contained module with a bathroom, minibar, terrace and sea-facing glazing. A separate pavilion houses reception, dining and a small bar, while back-of-house modules accommodate laundry, storage and staff.
Materials were selected for humidity, salt and termite resistance. External finishes are repairable and replaceable in a marine environment.
Logistics on an island
Factory-completed modules reduced on-island construction waste and labour. Flat-packed roof and deck components were shipped alongside the modules and assembled in 50 days.
The resort opened on schedule and has become a reference project for our hospitality clients in the Indian Ocean.
Every project begins with the same question: what does the building need to do? If you have a similar brief, our team can help you evaluate the options.
